Dr. William Shaw. (USA)
Specialist in autism spectrum disorders
Dr. William Shaw received a Ph.D. in biochemistry and human physiology and is board certified in the fields of clinical chemistry and toxicology. He has supervised large endocrinology, nutritional biochemistry, toxicology and immunology departments in positions at the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Smith Kline Laboratories in Atlanta and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Shaw is now the Director of The Great Plains Laboratory in Lenexa, Kansas specializing in urine metabolic testing for autism spectrum disorders. He is author of “Biological Treatments for Autism and PDD” and is a frequent speaker at autism conferences worldwide.
Hosam Badr, MD (ÉGYPT)
Specialist in autism spectrum disorders
Dr Hosam has a Bachelors Degree in Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.ch) from Cairo University, a Diploma in Gynecology and Obstetrics from Ain-Shams University. Currently specializing in Autistic Disorder and in the practice of biomedical therapies and the (DAN!) Protocol.
In 2004 his nephew was diagnosed autistic. The child improved significantly to the extent of full recovery after almost 2 years of biomedical therapies. Dr Hosam then decided to learn this approach. He has taken several training courses in the United States at the Autism Research Institute (ARI) Defeat Autism Now (DAN!) conference. He has attended other conferences at the Great Plains Laboratory, Kansas city; at the Still-Point Center for Integrative Medicine and at the ‘Pediatric Partners’. He has worked in the establishment of the Arab Defeat Autism Clinic in Cairo and as a speaker in conferences in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco.

Mother of a recovered child and General Manager of New Beginnings Nutritionals. She is a frequent speaker on biochemical interventions to parents and professionals at autism conferences around the World. Over the past five years, she has worked closely with Dr. William Shaw, PhD to create New Beginnings Nutritionals, a cutting edge nutritional supplement company that supports the unique needs of children with autism. She collaborates with physicians, naturopaths, scientists, autism researchers and parents in order to create a diverse product line that parents and physicians can trust. Lori enjoys drawing from both her extensive research, professional and personal experience in recovering her own child to support parents and practitioners seeking answers to improve the lives of children affected with autism.
Chafica Mansour Gharbieh (UNITED KINGDOM)
Chafica received her PhD in Education from Brunel University, UK. She is the Chairwoman of Hopeful Association (UK), president & director of Autism Learning Institute for Applied Behaviour Analysis (ALI for ABA, Lebanon). She has over 12 years of experience in working with children with autism and learning difficulties; worked with over 400 children on the Autistic Spectrum Disorder, from high functioning autism to severe autism. She is specialized and trained in Applied Behaviour Analysis/Applied Verbal Behaviour (ABA/AVB), The Listening Programme (TLP) Music Therapy, and Pictures Exchange Communication System “PECS”. She is also a mother of Ali a child with PDD NOS. She applied the ABA program to Ali and followed Dr. Shaw’s recommendation for treating yeast overgrowth and digestive problems. As a result, Ali’s diagnosis changed from severe autism to PDD NOS.
Moussa Charafeddine (LEBANON)
He received his Medical Diploma at the People’s Friendship University, Moscow. He is a specialist in Anesthesia & Reanimation. He received his Master’s Degree in Education –Communication Disorder – at the Johns Hopkins University, USA. He has been director of the Department of Anesthesia in hospitals and a medical and educational consultant in Lebanon. He is the author of several scientific papers on mental and intellectual disability mostly in Arabic. He has participated as a speaker in numerous conferences, workshops, and seminars around the world. He is member of several medical boards on the national,regional and international levels,he’s also a member of numerous associations dealing with disability in Lebanon, Switzerland, France, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Currently he is in charge of the establishment of the "Arab Disability Forum".
Francis Rocchiccioli (FRANCE)
Dr. Rocchiccioli is a pharmacist and a doctor in physics. He has been a medical practitioner for more than 25 years. He is responsible of the medical unit of metabolical diseases in a hospital in Paris, France. Concurrently, master of University Conferences, teacher of medical sciences, and researcher at the Paris Descartes University. He coordinates research groups under the INSERM (National Institute of Health and Medical Research). Has published over 70 scientific papers, most of these are about biochemical medicine. Currently he is the president of an association that represents a research foundation on degenerative diseases of the intestines, tissues, and the brain. He is preparing a publication that recommends the implementation of a gluten free casein free diet.
Béatrice Bonjus (FRANCE)
Bonjus is a mother of an autistic child. She has studied different teaching methods and help techniques for communication for the benefit of autistic children and non verbal children. She is worked voluntarily in different associations supporting children with PDD. She is a charter member of the Les ruits défendus association; currently she is the patients’ advocate within the organization. She is involved in opening a special school for children with several mental disorders. Additionally, she is in charge of the distribution of educational material geared towards individuals with mental deficiencies. She is currently writing a book about the social challenges involving special diets. She is also writing a book full of gluten free and casein free recipes.
