How the Cycle Works

The diagram below demonstrates some of the interrelationships between ADD/ADHD, the immune system and the workings of metabolism.

Steps to Breaking the Cycle

  1. Test at The Great Plains Laboratory to determine abnormalities.
  2. Eliminate foods containing food dyes and colors such as Kool-Aid, Jello, Fruit Loops, and other junk foods. Cut down on sugar.
  3. Eliminate foods that are positive on allergy test or desensitize by EPD, NAET, or provocation/neutralization therapies.
  4. Remove sources of toxic metals in child's environment. Treat child with chelating agents if test results are excessive.
  5. Treat yeast overgrowth with antifungal agents and probiotics (good bacteria) if indicated by the organic acids test.
  6. Treat harmful bacteria overgrowth with probiotics (beneficial bacteria).
  7. Supplement with a good vitamin supply. You may need calcium supplements as well if child has milk allergy and milk is restricted.
  8. Supplement with a good source of omega-3 fatty acids such as flax seed oil.
